What help can I expect from Building Futures?

Building Futures is a diverse programme offering a huge variety of options to help you get your life back on track and realise your potential.

We work with people at various different stages of their working lifecycle: some are looking for help with job applications or writing a CV, others need help with overcoming barriers to work such as childcare options, transport or disabilities and some aren’t ready to begin looking for a job.  This could be because they are finding it difficult to deal with mental health conditions, recovering from addictions or struggling to secure basic benefits.  Whatever your circumstances we have experienced staff on hand to guide you through the numerous options available.

When you are accepted onto the Building Futures programme, an initial meeting with your keyworker will help establish your current situation and together you will agree a personal action plan.  Your keyworker (who will support you for the duration of your involvement with the programme) will help you understand what your barriers might be and what additional help you may need.  The plan will be taken at your own pace and reviewed regularly.

In addition to one to one support the project creates group activities that enhance the wellbeing, basic skills and employability of attendees. These activities are often created to meet the needs of a specific client group.

In conjunction with our partners in the community, we are able to offer additional help with:
